This year, Alinto marks its 25th anniversary.
Over the past quarter-century, we have:
- Supported over 10,000 companies, public organizations, and internet service providers in managing their digital communications,
- Developed robust and sovereign solutions, tailored to the needs of professionals,
- Expanded internationally through strategic acquisitions in Switzerland and Spain,
- Taken on ambitious challenges, including contributing to the CollabNext project and taking over the open-source SOGo project.
How it all began
The year was 2000.
Smartphones had yet to exist, and mobile phones had small black-and-white screens.
Email was becoming more widespread, thanks to the rise of free services like Hotmail in 1996.
In a small office in Lyon, two enthusiastics had one goal: to send and receive emails using the WAP protocol.
Technology has evolved, WAP has faded away, but Alinto has continued its journey, remaining a specialized actor in secure messaging solutions. Today, our expertise is reflected in three flagship products:
- Sogomail – A secure mail server
- Cleanmail – A professional anti-spam solution
- Serenamail – An SMTP relay for optimal email deliverability
